This is a lunch or supper party, or even dinner party. Aimed at anyone in double figures, i.e. aged 10 and over. There is a minimum. We bring all the ingredients, utensils and party kit and help the children/teenagers/young adults (whatever they want to be called, we know this is a sensitive area!) to prepare and cook their own lunch or supper (so you don't have to do any catering or running around), you sit back with a nice glass of wine or cup of tea and watch whilst they have a great time learning about food, ingredients and cooking techniques, if you're very fortunate they may make extra for you too.

Whilst they are eating the food they have just made we sort out the party bags and clear up so you have a lovely clean, tidy kitchen too. Splat Cooking will provide all the ingredients and utensils, all you need to provide is the children/teenagers/young adults and the venue. They will mix, measure and make their own lunch or tea under the supervision of a Splat Cookery Leader. Alternatively we will adapt one of our workshops such as Fantasy Fairy Cakes or Edible Christmas Pressies or Mini Gingerbread Houses and the children will take home a box of lovely goodies. Please let us know if any children have allergies or specific dietary requirement and we can adapt the menus to suit. We use good quality ingredients, fair trade and organic where feasible, high cocoa content coverture chocolate, free range eggs always (we like happy chickens) and avoid the use of hydrogenated vegetables oils and fats where possible.

If you would like to include aprons for everyone to use at the party and take home you can upgrade to our white cotton apron, which your guests can decorate at the party, for an additional £4.95 per apron or if you'd like them embroidered with the guest's name this will be an additional £10.95 per cotton apron.

Please call us for availability before booking, once we have agreed the time and date we will take a £50 non refundable deposit (£150 non refundable deposit for parties of 15 children or more)and send you out the invitations, one week before the party we will confirm the number of people and the outstanding amount will be payable. All our  cookery leaders hold a current Foundation Course in Food Hygiene as well as completing our own training course. Beverley also holds the Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate. They are all Police Checked and have full insurance for cooking with children and grown ups. Depending on your location there may be a mileage charge, we will discuss this with you at the time of booking and do our best to allocate the closest cookery leaders possible
