Cupcake Decorating Party - brand new, this is the party of the decade and will have all your friends desperate for an invite, including their Mums, but this is strictly under 16s only. (We have a similar option for grown ups who would like a cupcake decorating event/party - do call us if you would like details of that).  We will bring along to the party 6 premade delicious cupcakes for each child to decorate - there will be plain and chocolate ones!  We will also bring along homemade chocolate buttercream and fondant frostings with a choice of food colouring pastes so the children can mix up their own colours, please let us know in advance if you have any colour preferences as we bring along a maximum of 3 options. We can also provide an additive free option using natural fruits such as raspberries to provide a lovely rich pink colour and delicious additional flavour, if you are interested in this option please do let us know as it does incur a small additional charge.

The Cookery Leaders will bring piping bags and nozzles and show the guests how to make swirly whirly icing and cupcake rose icing. They will also be shown how to make sugarpaste roses in different sizes and how to cut and glitter sugarpaste shapes. Then it's down to the guests to ice their own cupcakes and have fun with sugarpaste. Their beautiful creations will then be placed into named cake boxes and ribboned up ready to take home.

The party activity lasts for 1 and a half hours, please note that we don't provide food for this option so that will be down to you.

(We are also happy to provide this activity for weddings and other events when you need a group of children entertained for an hour, such as during speeches).

Please let us know if any children have allergies or specific dietary requirement and we can adapt the cakes to suit. We use good quality ingredients, fair trade and organic where feasible, Divine cocoa powder and chocolate, free range eggs always (we like happy chickens) and avoid the use of hydrogenated vegetables oils and fats where possible, unfortunately this is an ingredients in sugarpaste and we can't avoid it here.

For a small additional charge we can bring blackcurrant muffins instead of chocolate fairy cakes and colour the frostings with fruit coulis rather than colour pastes. If you wish the children can make the birthday cake too, there is an additional cost of £12.50 for this. Up to 6 children £165 Up to 9 children £240 Up to 12 children £285 Up to 15 children £350 More than 15 children is subject to prior agreement and at a cost of £22.50 per additional child.

We provide Splat Cooking logoed pvc aprons for use at the party but if you would like the children to decorate their own white cotton aprons (using fabric pens) they can then wear these and take them home, this is an additional £4.95 per apron or if you'd like them embroidered with the child's name this will be an additional £10.95 per cotton apron. Please note that for the apron decorating we will add on an additional 30 minutes at the beginning of the party for the children to decorate their aprons and there will a charge of £12 in addition to the apron price.

Please call us for availability before booking, once we have agreed the time and date with you we will take a £50 non refundable deposit (£150.00 non refundable deposit for parties of 15 children and over) and send you out the invitations.  At least one week before the party we will confirm the number of children and the outstanding amount will be payable. All our cookery leaders hold a current CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety as well as completing our own training course. Beverley also holds the Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate. The cookery leaders are CRB checked and have full insurance for cooking with children. Depending on your location there may be a mileage charge, we will discuss this with you at the time of booking and do our best to allocate the closest cookery leaders possible.
